Thinking of You with Simple Masking

Hi friends. Alanna here thrilled to be sharing a project with you using the brand new If Friends were Flowers stamp and die combo. I love that you get this beautiful floral set along with coordinating dies. You can make all sorts of custom floral arrangements.

The sky is the limit with this set. You could mask off an entire card panel using these stamps to have a beautiful background. Or you could stamp and die cut some of the images for a layered look with dimension.

For my card today, I am not using the dies but am instead, using some simple masking to create a one layer card.

To get started, I stamped the large floral cluster using the Raven Hybrid Ink onto a piece of white card stock.

I then stamped the same image again onto the Stamping Mask Paper that LDRS Creative has. I trimmed out my mask and layered it over the image I stamped above and then stamped the large floral cluster again. I repeated this process again so I could stamp a couple of the smaller images.

I did some simple coloring with my alcohol markers and stamped the sentiment which is also from the If Friends were Flowers set. You can't see it in the picture but I added some sparkle pen to the pink flowers.

I added my stamped and colored card panel to a piece of light grey card stock. I thought it was a nice touch and added to the bits of grey shadows I have in my white flowers.

I absolutely love how this card came out and am in love with this set and can't wait to play some more with it. I have so  many more ideas so this definitely won't be the last time you see me creating with it.

Have a wonderful day! - Alanna
