Tutorial: Ink blending on a CAS card!

Stephanie with you today for LDRS Creative and I'm so excited to share how easy-peasy this card came together using the new Ruby- Celebration stamp and some hybrid inks in store!

I first started with an A2 cardbase made of heavy white cardstock, some round sponges and four ink pads that were in the same color family: Little Boy Blue, Swimming Hole, Bali Blue, Dark Wash Jeans

 

You can get the full 25-ink bundle, too!

 

Working from light to dark with all four colours, I started gently applying the first layer at the top of the cardbase, going all the way down to where I want to have ink on the card.

 

 

Next, I added the second colour from the top, but not going as far down as with the previous colour.

 

 

I repeated the same steps with the remaining two colours, and then blending backwards too. This helps get a nice, seamless, blend with the hybrid inks.

 

 

Next, I stamped 

Ruby- Celebration stamp with Raven ink onto colouring cardstock to colour her with alcohol markers, before fussy cutting her with sharp scissors. I then placed her on the left of the card with foam tabs, then stamped a sentiment from the Party Time stamp set right next to her. I completed the project with a few iridescent sequins and that was it!
