Under the Sea Stenciled Scene
Hey, everyone! It's Lynnea! Easy stenciled scenes are all the rage, don't you think? I have a quick and easy - but super colorful - Under the Sea scene for you today!
I made the whole background scene with just some LDRS Creative Hybrid Inks and the Under the Sea Stencil! It's amazing how easy it is to use the stencil to create a simple, easy scene! I prefer to spray my stencil with a temporary adhesive to ensure that it doesn't wiggle around as I add ink over the top of the stencil. This is optional - you can use a bit of masking tape if you prefer! Once I positioned my stencil over my card I used Hybrid Inks for the scene. A bit of Tropical Sea for the water at the top, Boysenberry Blast for the fishies, and Olive Branch for the seaweed at the bottom. The white in the middle was too "cold" for me, so I very lightly blended some Swimming Hole ink over the scene to give it a watery appearance.
There's nothing more perfect to add to the scene than a mermaid! The Mermaid Treasures Stamp Set has three different mermaids! I picked my favorite - a tough choice, I know! - and stamped her with Raven Hybrid Ink, colored her with alcohol markers, and cut her with the coordinating Mermaid Treasures Dies, and added her to the card with foam.
I finished the card with a cute sentiment from the Mermaid Treasures Stamp Set and stamped it with Raven Hybrid Ink. Hopefully you found a bit of watery inspiration today! Happy crafting!
