The Pocket Pals Stamp Sets are fabulous because the images are small enough that you can put a whole bunch of these little critters into one scene without overwhelming the card. I decided to keep it simple and just use a few images and some ink blending. You know me! I love clean and simple!
I used a piece of masking tape and masked off the top of my card leaving about an inch and a half at the bottom of a piece of blending cardstock to create my ground. I used a blending brush and some Iced Tea hybrid Ink and blended the bottom portion of my card. I kept the ink darker at the top where the tape line was and lighter towards the bottom. This is an easy way to create depth. I kept the masking tape in place, smooshed some Iced Tea Hybrid Ink onto my work surface, added a spritz of water, and flicked some ink onto my ink blended ground. I love the spatter look! An easy way to add texture! I moved the masking tape to cover the ink blended ground and used Marina Madness Hybrid Ink to blend the sky. I again kept the ink darker at the tape line and lighter away from the "horizon" for dimension. I found the Marina Madness Hybrid Ink was a bit too light when I added the ink flicks, so I used Tropical Sea Hybrid Ink for the flicks. This ink is just a bit darker and worked perfectly!
Isn't the scene the cutest! I stamped an adorable little sentiment from the Up the Rabbit Hole Stamp Set with Raven Hybrid Ink and that finishes my card! I hope this inspires you to create a little scene of yoru own! See you soon!
