Valentine's Day Typewriter Card

Hi all, Kirstynn here with another card to share. This was a fun card to put together and I hope you all can find some inspiration from it.

Vintage Typewriter

Mixed Scallop Rectangle

Hugs & Kisses Postage Collage

Scarlet Rose Hybrid Ink

To start, I used the Vintage Typewriter foil plate and my Betterpress system to create a pressed image of this darling typewriter. I used black ink here, but you of course could use any color you like. I then used the coordinating die to cut out the image.

I then used the largest scalloped rectangle and cut out a white panel. This panel will fit nicely on an A2 sized card. I decided that I wanted some more layers to this, so I used one of the smaller scalloped rectangles and cut out the center of the first panel.

I chose to do this in white, as I really love the simplicity of a white background. But this would be so cute in pink or red. I then adhered the bigger frame panel onto an A2 size card base and propped that center rectangle up on some foam tape.

The next step is to create all those cute little lips. So I stamped them using the Hugs & Kisses stamp set in Scarlet Rose Hybrid Ink. I the fussy cut these out. because these are pretty basic shapes, it only took me a couple minutes to do the fussy cutting.

For the sentiments I used the "Just a Note" and "love you" from the typewriter set and used that same red ink and my Betterpress system. There is coordinating dies for this, so once I had the image I liked I cut them out with the coordinating dies.

The last step was to simply assemble all of the pieces. I glued the typewriter onto that lifted center rectangle and then added my sentiment to the paper part of the image. Once I had this all glued together I used those lips and some sequins to decorate the front of the card.

These would also make super cute tags for a Valentines day treat. I hope you found some inspiration here today.
Happy Crafting!
