Wall Flower Summer Shaker Card

Hi all, Kirstynn here today sharing a fun summer shaker card. I really wanted to create something with some bright summer colors. Especially since Autumn is almost here. So let's just jump in and start creating.
Products used
Wall Flower Press + Ion Plate
Delicate Stitches Scalloped Rectangle
Simply Words Dies
Simply Sentiments Stamps
To begin, I used the Wall Flower Press + Plate and my Better press platform with black ink to create the impressed floral background. I then just used some water based markers to color that in. Did you know that you can use two colors of ink in your water based markers by scribbling one color on a glass matt or acrylic block then using the second marker to pick up that ink. This will create a beautiful blended look. When I do this, I scribble the darker color down and pick it up with a lighter color. You can see the way this looks in pink flower at the top left of this panel.
Once I had everything colored, cut out frames using the two larger dies from the Delicate Stitches Scalloped Rectangle dies. I cut 6 of these out in white cardstock and glued 5 of them together. Between the 5th and 6th layer I added a piece of acetate that was cut to the same size of the frames.
I then picked out my shaker elements. For this card I used opal, silver, and clear iridescent sequins. After I add those to the shaker window, the next step is to add the floral background we created onto the back. I cut it down to the same size of the frames and then glued it to the back of the window and then glued that entire shaker piece to an A2 side folding notecard.
The last step is to add a sentiment. To do this I used black and white cardstock for the "love" word and then inked the remaining sentiment stamp in black ink on white cardstock. I added this with some foam tape to the acetate and viola. We have a fun summer shaker card.
I hope you all enjoyed this card and found some inspiration to get out your crafty supplies. Happy Summer!
