6x8 Family Album Layout | Nathalie DeSousa
Hello Crafty Friends!
Nathalie with you today with a new project featuring the beautiful LDRS products. I am an avid documenter who enjoys embellishing stories. As soon, as I saw the Myrtle Leaves Die, the idea of having them cascading into a page just came to mind.
The movement in the design of the Myrtle die cuts just adds interest to the page in a stylish way.
I started my spread by trimming one of the patterned papers from the Lovely Watercolor collection to fit into the album. Then, I used the Myrtle Leaves Die to cut a few of the branches from white cardstock.
To ensure that the Myrtle Leaves die cuts are the focus of the page. I layered a piece of vellum on top of the patterned paper. I used a bit of hybrid ink - Dan-D-Lion, Lipstick Jungle, Bali Blue, Pistachios-A-Plenty - to accent the curvature of the die cuts, and clustered them at the top left corner of the page. I also, added a few of the die cuts to right corner of the page, so that they frame the photos, and balance the layout.
The Chloe Alpha Uppercase Die Set was the perfect size and design to create the title of the spread. I cut each of the letters 3 times, and stacked them together to add dimension to the die cuts. Using the same color inks, I added a bit of an ombre look to the die cuts and added them to the right of the photos.
I used a few embellishments from the Lovely Watercolor Ephemera Pieces, and One Fine Day Ephemera Pieces, as well as a few Lovely Watercolor Enamel Dots to add a few extra pops of color throughout the spread.
I just love how this turned out, and I hope this inspires you to use your LDRS goodies in your next project.
XO
