Adventures Fill Your Soul
Hello and welcome back to the Inspiration Blog. I have been loving all the new goodies in this new release and I especially love anything new to the postage collection! Today I’m playing with the new Great Outdoors Postage Collage stamp set! It’s so fun! I elected to make my own pattern paper background with kraft card stock and a few images from the stamp set.
I'm using Iced Tea Hybrid Ink and 4 images from the stamp set. I started with the largest image, the moose, and stamp it randomly around the A2 card panel. I then went to the second largest image, the bear, and stamped it randomly. I continued with the last two images working from largest to smallest images.
The finished look doesn't have to be perfect, Sometimes the imperfection is what makes it interesting and in this case a little rugged, which goes with the outdoor theme. I diecut this panel with the largest die in the Nested Postage Collage Dies set.
Next, I chose several images from the stamp set to stamp on white card stock and stamped them in Coffee Bean hybrid ink. Once they were all stamped and dry, I diecut them using the individual dies from the Nested Postage Collage Dies. I also stamped the sentiment in Raven ink on the card panel and heat embossed it with clear embossing powder for a little shine.
Now it's time for assembly! I adhered the card panel on a dark brown card base with foam strips. This dark brown base makes the Coffee Bean ink in the individual stamps pop! I them arranged the individual images on the card panel and adhered them with foam squares to give them a little dimension. Lastly, I added a few clear dew drops for some added shine.
I just think these postage images are so FUN! I couldn't love them more! This stamp set also has a wonderful coordinating stencil set that also coordinates with the postage die! It comes as a bundle for your convenience, or you can purchase separately.
I hope you've enjoyed this card today and find some time to get crafty yourself!!!
Hugs, LeeAnn
