Apple Blossom Beauty
Hello, and welcome back to the inspiration blog. Today we are going to create with the Apple Blossom product suite, along with a Thank You sentiment that is a beautiful script font! I'm creating an A2 sized, top folding card on a vanilla card base.
I started with the Apple Blossom Swag Imress-ion Press + Foil Plates. I have the Spellbinders Glimmer system, which I used to to heat and press them onto a white A2 cardstock panel in Gold Foil. The set comes with 3 plates and I used all three plates for this card.
Next, I used the Apple Blossom Swag Layering Stencils to add color to the foiled images. The stencils come numbered in the lower corner to make it easy to know which one to use first, and they are super easy to line up. I start with the lightest color first and then add darker. I used two colors of purple for the flowers and two greens for the leaves. I first added Fairie Dust hybrid ink (my favorite LDRS color), and then added Parisian Purple with the second stencil.
The 3rd and 4th stencil are for the leaves and I used Prickly Pear Perfection hybrid ink and Olive Branch . The results are gorgeous. The camera does not do it justice.
Next, I die cut the foiled images using the coordinating Apple Blossom Swag Dies and set them aside. I then chose an A2 card panel in a wisteria color and heat pressed the Thank You Press + Foil Plate in the same gold foil. I trimmed that panel down to 4" x 5.25" and layered it with a gold foil card stock before mounting it on the vanilla card base with foam.
I added the Apple Blossom images to the card front with foam squares and finished the card with a scattering of gold sequins. The shimmer on this card is absolutely gorgeous! It's so so pretty in person.
I should mention that the Apple Blossom suite of products is available for purchase as a bundle with a discount. You will find the Apple Blossom Swag Imress-ion Press+Foil Plates, Dies and Layering Stencils Bundle will have everything you need to create this card and so much more!
I hope you enjoyed this tutorial and find some time to get crafty today. Hugs, LeeAnn
