BIG Birthday
Welcome back crafty friends. LeeAnn here with a fun card I made for my sister who has a big birthday coming up and what better way to celebrate than with a card made with the Big Word Birthday Dies!
This card is built on an A2 top folding card base in white. I started with a white card panel and blended three colors from top to bottom, starting with the lightest and moving to the darkest to create an ombre effect.
I used LDRS Hybrid Inks in Fairie Dust, Parisian Purple, and Mrs. Periwinkle. The result is beautiful! I then sprayed the panel with a pearlescent spray to add some sparkle and shine. Its absolutely stunning!!
Next, I die cut the birthday with the die and the "happy", "to", & "you" in plain white. I originally die cut the small words in glossy black but then decided to die cut the shadow in black, so switched it up and die cut the small words in white. I could certainly have left the card alone here as it's gorgeous as is, BUT...my sister is 50 and she is now living on a farm and has chickens! I never thought I'd see the day where she's living in the country and has a garden and chickens, but here she is living it up! And she swears her chickens love her! So I couldn't resist using the sweet little chicken images from the Barnyard Friends Stamp Set and the coordinating die set. How cute are they??? And you should see the coffee mug I got her for her birthday!!!
I layered it all together with liquid adhesive and mounted the big birthday with foam tape. I added the chickens with foam squares and finished it off with some shiny embellishments for some extra sparkle.
I hope you've enjoyed this post and find some time in your day to craft! It's good for the soul! Crafty hugs, LeeAnn
