Big Birthday Wishes

Hello Friends, it's Carol here today and I'm sharing a BIG and BOLD birthday card! My family and I were recently invited to a 75th birthday party and I knew I just had to use the Big Words Birthday stamp/die combo.

I started off this card by creating my background using the Natural Granite stamp. This is a large 6x6 stamp and it easily covers an A2 card front. I just love the look that it gives. Next, I stamped the big Birthday sentiment using a a few different colors of ink to give an ombre effect. I also used the shadow die and cut it out of vellum and added my stamped sentiment on top.

I then stamped the word happy and I shifted the coordinating die just a bit to give that two-toned look of black and white. I adhered my Happy Birthday sentiment onto my card front and since my card was for a 75th birthday, I pulled out the Jordan Numbers jumbo dies using a coordinating cardstock color.

I added that to my card and I think it really stands out against the colorful birthday sentiment. Everything was a adhered to an A2 card base and the birthday boy really loved it!
