Blue Floral Thank You Card

Hey crafty friend, Kirstynn here,
Today I want to share with you all a thank you card I put together using some new supplies from the most recent Spring Collection release.
Blue Floral Thank You Card
To start I cut an A2 panel using white cardstock. I then stamped the largest flower in the set and the layering elements the Market Blooms stamp set. I stamped the first layer with Swimming Hole ink and then I used the same ink to stamp the layering elements on top to create two colors with the same ink pad.

Once I had the petals all stamped, I used the La La Lavender ink pad for the centers of my flowers. I first inked up my stamp and stamped it on a scratch paper. Then with out adding any more ink, I stamped it on my card front. This created a lighter lavender color for the back ground. I then used the layering stamp and stamped it on top with out first stamping on the scratch paper. This creates a darker layering element as there is more ink.

To create my sentiment I used the Simply Words Dies and the Simply Sentiments stamp set.  I absolutely love the option that these two sets give you when combined. I think I will be reaching for these often. To make sure my colors all matched, I used the La La Lavender ink pad directly to paper and then die cut the thanks die from that. For the shadow die, I used some glitter white cardstock that I had on hand. But you could use, velum or metallic cardstock, even just simple white would look great.

I glued the pieces together and added them slightly to the left of my panel. I then stamped the smaller portion of the sentiment that reads "for all you do" directly on the card panel. I did end up cutting down the panel to 4 inches by 5 1/4 inches. This way it gives a framed look on the final card base. And last but not least, I added some iridescent sequins to the card.

I hope you were all inspired to get crafty today!
Happy Spring.
