Celebrate a Journal Page!

I have a journal page to share with you today featuring the awesome new CELEBRATION STAMP SET.  The main image is HUGE and sooooo beautiful!! It is the perfect stamp to test out all those colouring mediums that we collect along the way.

 

So how did I start?! Well it’s nice to get a little inky sometimes and I began by creating a background for my page using all the colours in the COUNTY FAIR HYBRID INK MINI PACK and the SUMMER SHORE HYBRID INK MINI PACK (well all bar the white).  I simply swept each cube randomly across the paper both up and down until I had a coverage and colour I liked.

 

For more texture and interest I used some of the smaller stamps in the CELEBRATION STAMP SET, stamping some with the Hybrid Inks and some to be embossed with gold glitter powder.  I then added texture paste through the WAFFLE CONE STENCIL.

Stamping the gorgeous main image of the girl with my RAVEN HYBRID INK I coloured her with watercolour paints and I did the same with the single balloon stamp, adding the heart to the centre of it just for fun.

 

I attached all the images flat to the page with strong glue and added a sentiment and then a few flowers stamped and coloured from the HEATWAVE STAMP SET.

 

I edged the page and all the added images with black ink and finally created a flower from the heart stamp to add to my lovely lady’s very green hair.  Of course this had NOTHING whatsoever to do with wanting to cover up my completely appalling water colouring underneath. Oh no, nothing whatsoever!!!
