Celebrating You with the New Large Flower Dies!

Good morning, Kathy here I am up on the blog today using the new Large Flower Dies from the LDRS Creative Spring Collection.  These flowers are perfect for backgrounds, focal points for cards, scrapbooks….all your paper crafts.  Today I am doing some inlaid die-cutting.

For the background I am using a piece of patterned paper from the new Favorite. Things 6x6 paper pad.  I cut the panel to 4.25” x 5.5” and taped it down to an A2 top-folding card base from Neenah Classic Crest Solar White 110lb card stock.

I then used the Pretty Things 1 Coverplate die and cut another piece of white card stock.  I glued this on top of the patterned paper with LDRS Creative Craft Glue.  Put something heavy on top and allow it to dry.

Next I cut the two flowers from the Large Flower die set and also the All Occasions sentiment and shadow from white card stock.  I flipped the the flowers onto a piece of Press N Seal and poked the interior bits out.  Set the white outline aside.

I colored the little interior bits with alcohol markers.  I also colored the shadow in the lighter pink marker.  I then cut a rough circle to fit behind the flower outline and glued it down.  Now add your petals and flower centers back in with liquid glue.  Don’t worry about the parts that aren’t glued down we are going to pop them up with foam squares so they will be taken care of.

Glue your sentiment to the shadow die-cut.  Now add some glue to where the sentiment touches the flowers.  Then add foam squares or foam tape all of over the back and adhere to your card.  That’s it the card is done.  Inlaid die-cutting may not be for everyone but I LOVE it.  I hope you give it a shot!

Make sure you stop but by the LDRS Creative Shop and check out the entire Spring Collection AND the new Luxe Craft Mat Deluxe!  It is such a great tool for your craft room and GORGEOUS!  It may be sold out but get on the waitlist!  This is one you are going to want in your craft room!  Thank you so much for stopping by!
