Celebrating Your Special Birthday

Hello Friends, it’s Carol here today and to our friends in the US, Happy Independence Day! Today, I’m sharing a birthday card made with stamps and dis from the new Summer Collection! I’ve been on a patterned paper kick lately and I absolutely love mixing the old with the new! The One Fine Day patterned paper pad is absolutely beautiful and it works for so many different occasions.

I used the Diagonal Stitched Frame die to cut out the paper and adhered it to my card base. I then used the beautiful new stand-alone die called Myrtle Leaves and cut it from a piece of white card stock. I love how the white just bounces off of the lovely colors in the patterned paper.

Next, I used a new stamp set called Essential Birthday Sentiments. Trust me, this will be a set that will be essential to your collection! I stamped the sentiment onto a piece of card stock that I ink blended in rainbow order to play off of the patterned paper. I cut that out with one of the dies from the Elegant Stitched frames. I adhered the sentiment onto my card front and adhered it all to an A2 card base. I just love how this card turned out!
