Christmouse Village Slimline Card
Hi there! Annie here, and today I'm sharing a fun holiday slimline card featuring several of the new stamp and die sets from the Fall Winter 2020 Collection. After coloring a bunch of the images from the 34th Street Stamp Set to look like gingerbread houses, I was suddenly inspired to create a little Christmas village full of cute mice.
I started by creating the background for my village...after cutting a piece of white cardstock with the largest die in the Slimline Corner Scallop Die Set, I lightly blended Marina Madness Hybrid Ink over the top half of the panel and Pink Tutu Hybrid Ink over the bottom half of the panel with a blending brush. Then I cut white shimmer cardstock first with the largest die from the Slimline Corner Scallop Die Set, and then with the Over The Hills Die twice across the length and near the middle of the width of the panel.
The houses from the 34th Street Stamp Set and the skating rink from the Ice Valley Stamp Set were stamped in Raven Hybrid Ink, colored with alcohol markers, and cut out with the 34th Street and Ice Valley die sets. To have a few extra pines for the rest of my scene, I stamped the skating rink image a second time, die cut it out, and trimmed off just the trees to pop up around each house.
I love how the doors and some of the windows open when you die cut the 34th Street houses, so I placed one of the mice from the Snow Much Fun Stamp Set just inside one of the doorways and scattered the rest down by the skating rink.
To finish off the card, I added a birdhouse and sign from the Country Corner Accessories Stamp Set and a fun sentiment stamped with the Christmas Wishes Sentiment Stack and cut with Wave Ribbon Stack Coordinating Die.
I hope you enjoyed this fun slimline Christmas card and thanks so much for stopping by today!
