Colorful Love You Card
Hey, there! It's Lynnea! Things are a bit chilly where I live, so I decided to bring a bit of warmth into my craft room with this colorful Spring card with LDRS Creative stamps, dies, and stencils!
There is so much color on this card and it makes me super happy! I stamped the little swinging critter from the Campfire Friends Pocket Pals Stamp Set onto a piece of white cardstock and colored it with alcohol markers. I stamped the sentiment from the Log Cabin Pocket Pals Stamp Set with Raven Hybrid Ink and die cut the piece using a die from the Scalloped Circle Frames Die Set. I also cut another piece of white cardstock as well as a piece of vellum using different dies from the same set. I created a faux sky by blending Marina Madness Hybrid Ink around my image with an LDRS Creative Blender Brush and Dan-D-Lion Hybrid Ink onto the layering circle piece.
I wanted to create a colorful background for my image, so I grabbed one of my favorite LDRS Creative stencils - the Coneflower Stencil! I inked over the stencil using an LDRS Creative Blending Brush with a bunch of LDRS Creative Hybrid Inks. I used Fandango, Tropical Sea, Dan-D-Lion, Tangerine Dream, Plum Crazy, and Raven Hybrid Ink for the centers of the flowers. I tried to keep a balance of color making sure that no two flowers of the same color were touching each other. When I started to piece my card together I realized that the background was a bit too busy. I toned it down by adding a more neutral piece to the bottom of the card by blending Alloy Hybrid Ink over the Plaid Stencil.
I finished off the card by adding a few pearls around the image and adding it to my card with foam tape. I hope this card brightens your day! I'll see you soon!
