Daybreak Puzzle Scenes

Good morning and Happy St. Patty's Day!!  Welcome back to the inspiration blog!  Today we are creating with the Daybreak Puzzle Scenes 6x8 Stamp Set and coordinating Puzzle Frames 6x8 Stamp Set.  The Daybreak Puzzle Scenes stamp set comes with 22 different stamps so you can choose how to mix and match and fill your Puzzle frame.  OR you can use the individual frames and stamp one puzzle piece at a time to create a different card altogether!

Today I started with an A2 white card panel and stamped the Puzzle Frame in Iced Tea Hybrid Ink.  I leave the frame in my Misti on one side because I like to double stamp and I'll stamp the image again when I'm all done filling it in.

Next, I'll start picking my images to fill the puzzle pieces.  I do 3 at a time and single stamp, leave the stamp in the Misti, color the image, and then restamp the image before moving on.  This way you get a crisp stamped image after the coloring is complete!

For most of the images, I stamped them in Iced Tea Hybrid Ink, however, I did stamp a couple in Raven ink.  The sentiment I wanted to stand out, and the Bee was more appropriate in Raven ink.  These inks are all alcohol marker friendly and won't smear when coloring.  They stamp like a dream!

I chose bright colors for my coloring, however, if you don't want such a busy look, you could use lighter colors or leave the background white.  There are lots of options with this set.  Another thing I considered was stamping the sentiment on a standalone frame piece and popping it up with foam tape for a little dimension.  It would look great either way!

To finish this card off, I trimmed down the panel around the framed image and adhered it with foam strips to an A2 teal card base to bring out some of the colors of the card.  Again, here you could have used a neutral card base, if you want a less busy look to your card (more clean and simple).

This stamp set is a joy to create with and I hope you get a chance to play with it.  There are other coordinating sets to use with the Puzzle frames that are just as much fun!  Find some time to create today!  Crafty hugs, LeeAnn
