Floral Hello

Hello friends, Kirstynn here, with another card in hopes to inspire.

Today I'm sharing some products from the new LDRS release. I'm in love with so many of these products and I can't wait to get back to the craft room to continue creating. This card is the first of many to come with this release!

Lets jump right in! I knew when I got the Doodle Flower Dies set that I wanted to have a bright white background and some simple shading. So I started by cutting out a bunch of these floral shapes in 80 lb. white cardstock. Once I got them all cut out I did some ink blending on them. I really wanted it to be simple and quick so I left a lot of white space on them. Mostly on the edges.

I also cut out a few of the circles from the Doodle Stitched Scalloped Circle Dies. I really love these circles because they are so versatile. Once I had three of them cut out I glued them all together to make a dimensional piece to add to my card.

At first I really wasn't sure what sentiment I wanted for this card but ultimately chose the "Hello" from the Circle Phrase Insert Dies.  I liked the idea of leaving it open to be a general card. When I decide to use it I can ad a more custom sentiment inside the card. I cut the hello in black cardstock and added it to the center of my circle. From there I went ahead and started arranging my floral pieces and gluing them down.

When I work with florals I always start with the bigger flowers first and add in the smaller pieces as I go. This generally helps me to give the arrangement a really full look.

I did end up adding a few plain white stems in the back just to add a little bit more to the floral portions.

I hope this was inspiring to you today!!
