Foiled frame of flowers
Hello everyone ! Lounon here !
Today, I am happy to share with you a pretty foiled floral card! I thought the purple and blue shades complement the kraft cardstock beautifully, making for a great pairing.
Products used :
Apple Blossom Swag Impress-ion Press + Foil Plates
Apple Blossom Swag Layering Stencils
Apple Blossom Swag Coordinating Dies
Delicate Stitches Scalloped Oval Dies
Billowing Blooms Impress-ion Press + Foil Plates and Coordinating Dies Bundle
A2 Stitched Layered Card Toppers Die Set
Perfect Petals 3D 6x6 Embossing Folder
First, I foiled my Apple Blossom Swag Impress-ion Press + Foil Plates onto white cardstock with purple and blue foils.
I used my Apple Blossom Swag Layering Stencils to color them : I used blue inks on the purple-foiled flowers and purple inks on the blue-foiled ones.
I used the Apple Blossom Swag Coordinating Dies to cut them.
You could, if you prefer, directly foil and color them on kraft cardstock; however, you'll get more muted colors.
I colored around my flowers with a brown marker matching my kraft cardstock.
I used my Delicate Stitches Scalloped Oval Dies to cut a 3.375" x 4.75" (8.6 cm x 12.1 cm) oval scalloped frame onto kraft cardstock. I glued four of my flowers behind it and fussy cut the parts that were hanging over the outside edge of the oval.
I kept the two blue leftovers.
For the base of my card I used my A2 Stitched Layered Card Toppers Die Set to cut two rectangles : one ( 4 1/4" x 5 1/2" / 10.8 cm x 14 cm) onto purple cardstock and one (3 7/8" x 5 1/8" / 9.8 cm x 13 cm) onto kraft cardstock.
I embossed the kraft one with my Perfect Petals 3D 6x6 Embossing Folder.
I cut three more 3.375" x 4.75" (8.6 cm x 12.1 cm) oval scalloped frames : two onto thick cardstock to give depth and one onto blue cardstock.
I used my Billowing Blooms Impress-ion Press + Foil Plates and Coordinating Dies Bundle to foil my sentiment with blue foil onto kraft cardstock and used the coordinate die to cut it.
Then, I used my die from the Any Size Tags Dies to cut the banner onto purple cardstock. I used the die a second time to shorten it.
I also made a bow with brown twine.
I glued my two thick frames onto the embossed panel to add depth, then added the one with the flowers. I glued the two blue flower pieces on top. If you'd prefer, you could skip cutting the two blue flowers entirely and just cut the purple ones, but I liked having the option to place them exactly where I wanted.
I covered it with my blue frame.
Finally, I matted and layered my two panels, and glued my banner with the sentiment, my bow and my big purple flowers with foam pads.
Et voilà !
May the craft be with you !
