Guest Designer Tiffany: Thanks for everything!

Happy New Year crafty friends! May 2022 bring you joy, health, and craft supplies! Tiffany here with another guest design. This time I am using the Perfect Petals Layering Dies, Thankful Flowers Slimline stamp set, and coordinating dies. Although I did not have a New Year’s related sentiment, I took inspiration from classic New Year’s Eve colors, black and gold, for a simple thank you card.

To start, I cut a 4 x 4 inch panel of white cardstock. Then, from white cardstock, I die cut several leaves from the Perfect Petals Layering Dies. After arranging all of my die cuts on the square panel, I lifted everything with a piece of Press ‘N Seal. I flipped the Press ‘N Seal over, added liquid glue on the leaves, and then adhered them in place on the panel. It is such an easy way to arrange and adhere die cuts in one fell swoop. I splattered a little black ink and gold watercolor on the panel. In the background, I cut a 4.25 x 4.25 inch panel of black cardstock. To the left side I added a thin strip of gold mirror paper for a little interest. I adhered these layers together on a white, square card base.

Next, I die cut the layers of the smaller flower from the Perfect Petals Layering Dies from black and gold cardstock. I also die cut another leaf from vellum. For the sentiment, I gold heat embossed a sentiment from the Thankful Flowers Slimline stamp set and die cut it using the coordinating die.

Pro tip: Do you ever find stray embossing powder specks when heat embossing on black cardstock? No problem! Take a black fine liner pen and carefully color over the stray specks to clean up the lines of the sentiment.

Until next time, thanks for reading and have a wonderful day!
