Halloween Galaxy
Hello dear readers, Monica here today sharing this Halloween card with a galaxy background theme.
What I like about the galaxy effect is that they are so much fun to create, they can be used for a variety of occasions and you can be very creative with your colour palette
For this card, I started inking two pieces of plain white cardstock with Hybrid Inks La La Lavender and Key Lime Pie. I mixed them freely, adding more pressure with my brush on some areas and leaving others less saturated, then I added little dots with the help of a gel pen and white gouache. Once dried, from one of the panels I cut circles in different sizes, while the other panel was trimmed to 4 ¼ X 5 ½ “ and adhered it to an A2 size card base.
On a piece of black cardstock, I randomly stamped small images from the Trick or Trick Pirouette stamp, topped it with a pearl embossing powder, heat set it, and I added small dots with the gel pen.
I stamped several of the two larger ghost images from the Trick or Trick Pirouette stamp set in white and black cardstock in contrasting ink and die cut them. The next step was to adhere the galaxy circles on the black panel and trim it to a 4 X 5 ¼ “ size. I added two layers of foam tape on the back and mounted this panel on the other galaxy background and card base. I also stamped the sentiment “Happy Howl-oween” from the same set on a piece of purple cardstock, die cut it, and glued it to the main panel. Finally, I added the die cut ghosts and a few crystals for extra sparkle.
Thank you for stopping by. I hope you enjoyed reading about this project and that it made you excited about the items featured here. I certainly had a lot of fun creating with them.
