I'm Over the Rainbow For You!

Hi friends, Kirstynn here!

Happy Valentines day! I've always loved Valentines day, probably because there is so many opportunities to craft on this holiday. I mean think about all of those hand made Valentines!

Today I'm sharing with you my own valentines day card and some tags I made to go along with it.

I started off by using this cute sentiment stamp from the Color My World set. I colored in the word "Rainbow" using some water based markers. I then used some silver glitter cardstock to matte it on. I used the 1/8 inch A2 Bacground strip die set to cut out some white strips. I just used the same water based markers to color them since I only needed one strip for each color of the rainbow. You could use colored cardstock also if that is better for you. This would be a great way to use up some scraps!

Next I really wanted to have some clouds. So, I used the Offset Slimline Stack-ables die set and cut a bunch of strips out with that beautiful scalloped edge. Then I just layered those together to make some cloud-like shapes. I tucked my rainbow strips into the clouds with some strong adhesive and Voilà!

Once I had it all in the perfect place I used the Diagonal Stitched Layered Card Topers  to create a frame to go around the edge of the clouds. I used a glitter pen to add a little extra sparkle to this frame!

Lastly I added the sentiment to the middle of the rainbow. However, while I had all of the supplies out, I decided to make some cute tags for my co-workers for Valentines day. I simply stamped and colored the sentiment, matted it onto different colored cardstock and then hole punched it. I'm thinking I will tie these onto some skittles for my friends at work.

I really love having tags like this for small gifts/treats for friends and family! I hope you were all inspired today. Happy Valentines day!

All best,

Kirstynn
