Lemonade Burst

Hi, everyone!

Elle here with a bright and sunny card creation for LDRS Creative, featuring a fabulous die and some summer lemonade.

One of the very first things I do when I receive a brand new die set is cut it out and try to jot down a few ideas of how I could use it. I liked how Sunburst Rectangle die looked in the package, but once I die-cut it, it was instant love! From the size to the pattern, it's such a fabulous design that's just perfect for adding a pop of color to your CAS (clean and simple) cards. With a bit of dimension, it adds a great texture, too!

Since I wanted to have the die truly shine, I paired it with a few summer icons and sentiment from the Lemonade stamp set. I stamped the lemonade pitcher and the glass in Raven hybrid ink and colored them with alcohol markers. I fussy-cut them with sharp scissors and layered them together. I used the circle from the Sunburst Rectangle die to stamp the summer sentiment.

To add a bit more embellishment, I tied a yellow polka-dot ribbon around the bottom of the panel. I found a bright yellow piece of cardstock from my stash and layered the Sunburst panel over it, using dimensional adhesive. I added the lemonade and my sentiment, and the card was complete!

The best part of this card is that it came together in minutes, while still looking impressive and fresh. I'm definitely looking forward to seeing how I can stretch the Starburst die further in the future.

Thank you so much for today and make sure to come back tomorrow for more inspiration!
