Loads of Love Slim Line Pocket Card
Hi there! Annie here, and today I'm sharing a cute slimline pocket card featuring some of the new stamps and dies from the Christmas Mini Collection and the Fall Winter 2020 Collection. I thought the little girl with the wagon full of cards from the City Sidewalks stamp set would work perfectly for Valentine's Day too, so I colored her to look like my daughter in pink and red for this sweet card where she's dropping off loads of love for her daddy.
I started by diecutting white cardstock with the Slim Line Basket Weave Pocket Die Set - once using just the outer edge die and then again using both the outer edge and inner detail design dies. Then I blended Pink Tutu and Kiss Me Red Hybrid Ink over the basket weave die-cut to form a pretty ombre background and adhered it on top of the white die-cut with liquid glue.
I stamped the little girl and man from the City Sidewalks Stamp Set in Raven Hybrid Ink onto some white cardstock and colored them in shades of pink, red, and tan using alcohol markers before cutting them out with the coordinating dies. Then I stamped a greeting from the Crazy For Daisies Stamp Set onto white cardstock with Kiss Me Red Hybrid Ink and cut it out using the smaller heart die from the Slim Line Scallop Die Set.
To assemble, I created a top-folding card base measuring 5.25" x 3.25" out of kraft cardstock and adhered a piece of pink snowflake paper from the MacKenzie Paper Pad to the front with tape runner. Then I added the ombre die cut background to the card front with foam adhesive and popped the characters and sentiment up on top.
I hope you enjoyed this fun slimline pocket Valentine and thanks so much for stopping by today!
