Multiple ways to use Press + Foil Plates with Water-colour Backgrounds

Hello there, Sam here. Have you ever tried taking a watercolour background and using your press and foil backgrounds over top. You can create some really neat effects. I was at my local craft store where I first saw this technique. First I created a simple shimmer watercolour background and then used the Wall Flower impress-ion Press + Foil Plate with basic black ink. The second card I used shimmer watercolour on black water colour cardstock and then used versa mark and translucent embossing powder with the Braided impress-ion Press + Foil Plate. Both methods give very shimmery fun results.

Prep Work:
Create shimmery watercolour background large enough for the background plates.
Die cut the ‘Enjoy’ sentiment from Simply Word Dies out of one of the water coloured backgrounds and another 2 times from plain cardstock. Layer and glue them together to create a sturdy ‘enjoy’ sentiment. Die cut the enjoy background out of black card stock. Pick and emboss white on black one of the Simply Sentiments.
Die cut the thank you sentiment from All Occasions Word Dies from Kraft card stock and another 2 times from plain cardstock. Layer and glue them together to create a sturdy sentiment.
Grab an A2 size (4 1/4” x 5 1/2”) card base Kraft and white cardstock.

Get the look:
CARD 1
Using the better press, apply versa mark to the Braided impress-ion Press + Foil Plate and then run through better press onto one of the watercolored pieces. Apply tinted translucent embossing powder.
Die cut piece with Hand Torn Rectangle Dies.
Attach to Kraft card base.
Finally add the sentiment.

CARD 2
Using the better press, apply black ink to the Wall Flower impress-ion Press + Foil Plate and then run through better press onto one of the watercolored pieces.
Cut piece to 4 1/4” x 5 1/2”
Attach to a card base.
Finally add the sentiment and sub sentiment

Hope you discovered an additional way to use your press + foil plates. I find the result is especially pretty with the shimmering water colour because the translucent embossing and the press allow the shimmer to show with the pattern.
