Myrtle Leaves Birthday

Hello Friends, it's Carol here today and I'm sharing a slimline card using the beautiful Myrtle Leaves die. I don't know about you, but to me, slimline cards have a lot of real estate! Sometimes, I struggle to figure out what to do with all the space. But, worry no more I say because this gorgeous die is perfect for all your slimline card needs!

For this card, I started with a white card base that measures 3.75 x 8.5. I grabbed a sheet of merlot colored card stock from my stash and used the Floral Foliage  slimline die. This die contains two larger dies and outer die cuts a perfect frame for your card base and it has stitched detail which I really love.

Next, grab your Snowy White hybrid ink and get to splattering! After that, I die cut two of the myrtle leaves from white card stock and stacked them on top of one another creating a vine-type look. Lastly, I pulled out one of my most used stamp sets, Special Occasions. I stamped the Happy Birthday sentiment and used the coordinating die to cut the sentiment and the shadow using vellum.

I love how the vellum looks against that merlot card stock and the splatters reminds me of snow. This would be a great card to give to someone with a winter birthday. So Fun! That's it for me today, catch you next time!
