No Matter the Distance
Happy June!! LeeAnn here with an idea for thinking outside the box with scene building stamp sets. I like to find creative ways to use scene building stamps other than the obvious choice. Creating a background different from the expected is sometimes difficult to imagine. The No Matter the Distance Pocket Pals stamp set is filled with images to create a travel scene and can be used in conjunction with related sets in the Spring Collection. I decided to create a background that goes with the travel theme, but isn't necessarily a "scene". I love color, so I started with blending my favorite rainbow in LDRS Hybrid Inks.
With a circle mask in place, I blended Pink Tutu, Peachy Keen, Banana Cream Pie, Prickly Pear, Little Boy Blue, and Parisian Purple around the edge of the circle mask. Who doesn't feel good when seeing a rainbow!!??
Remove the circle mask and next add your stamped images and sentiment from the set. These are such darling images! I stamped all of them in Raven Hybrid Ink. I colored the center images in alcohol inks then used a white gel pen to add a white border around the circle. I also added compass points between the stamped images and colored in half of the points to mimic a compass.
Lastly, I die cut the panel using the A2 Stitched Layered Frames Dies and layered onto black cardstock. I then layered the card panel onto an A2 sized white card base and added some sequins for shine. I love the contrast created with the black stamped images and the soft rainbow blend. What is your favorite part of the card?
I hope you're having a wonderful summer and find some time to craft!!
Crafty hugs,
LeeAnn
