Oh Happy Day | Erica Thompson

Hello friends! Erica here with you today sharing a sweet 12x12 scrapbook layout featuring the Favorite Things collection! 

I started with one of my favorite papers from this collection! It has colorful strips of color with white polka dots. I knew I wanted to fussy cut the strips and add them to a layout.

I trimmed down the edges and then added banner tails to each end. I arranged them onto a piece of textured white cardstock that I had trimmed down to 11.50x11.50. Once they were all laid out I ran them through my sewing machine to add some texture and interest and I love how they turned out!

I add my two photos of our Eli James to the layout. The photos are from his birthday and I took him shopping and then to the cutest cup cake shop! He got a free birthday cupcake and he picked out cupcakes for his brothers and sister!

I embellished around the photos with the adorable cupcake die cuts from the Favorite Things ephemera pack and used the Oh Happy Day banner as my title. I wanted to add a little more texture and interest to each of the strips so I added some of the pretty Favorite Things enamel dots. 

A super sweet layout for a super sweet birthday boy! To finish off the layout I matted the layout on one of the 12x12 pattern papers from the Favorite Things collection and then added my journaling.
