Peachy Petal Pushers
Hey everyone! Today I'm using the Cardinal Seasons stamp set and Petal Pusher dies from LDRS Creative and made a bright and happy card! Even though this is a winter stamp set you can definitely use it to create more than just winter cards!
I started by filling my card with the base layer flower stamp from the Cardinal Seasons stamp set with Flesh Hybrid Ink. I just love this soft peachy color! I stamped the second layer with Lipstick Jungle Hybrid Ink. This stamp is easy to line up, but I like the more whimsical look of misaligned layers - and also I'm a lazy crafter! Haha! I added color to the centers of the flowers with Dan-D-Lion Hybrid Ink, but I ended up adding a sequin for shine later - so you can't really tell. I decided to fill in the white areas with the small cluster of flowers and I love the look of color against bold black, so I used Raven Hybrid Ink and stamped the flowers all over.
The flower filled card is super pretty as is - but the coordinating Cardinal Seasons Petal Pusher die set adds such an AMAZING touch! It semi cuts out the petals of the flowers so that they pop up off the card! Oh my gosh I love it! I used the die to cut the petals on the five flowers that are fully stamped - not the ones partially stamped off the edge of my card. I added a piece of gold foil cardstock to my card base and then adhered my stamped panel on top being careful not to add glue to the petals that are pushed up.
I stamped and gold heat embossed a sentiment from the Sunny Meadow stamp set onto a label die and added sequins to the centers of my flowers for another touch of gold. Super fun, right?! Thanks for stopping by!
