Perfect Petals Poinsettia Card
Hi friends, Kirstynn here with LDRS, I'm so excited to share with you some of the fun things I've been creating. With the Holidays fast approaching, nothing gets me more in the Holiday spirit than making Christmas cards. Today I'm using the Perfect Petals die set to make this beautiful Poinsettia card.
This was so simple to make and is such a fun way to get excited for the holidays. First I cut my petals out in two different shades of red cardstock. If you don't have two different shades of cardstock, you could always add some ink to the edges of the top layer to make it stand out. I used some Gold toned paper to cut out the centers and some greens for those leaves. What says Christmas better than red, green, and gold?
Once everything was cut out, I glued these beautiful layers together and added some gold shimmer pigment to the red petals. I really love the texture this adds. I stamped the sentiment using the Peace and Joy Pirouette Stamp Set onto craft cardstock using the Scarlet Rose Hybrid ink. For the sentiment I used the Elegant Stitched Frames Slimline Die Set. I then matted this onto some red cardstock and cut it out using the same die set. I arranged the newly assembled floral pieces onto a A2 sized side folding card base.
And last but not least, I added some gold embellishments. You could easily make this card for any season just by changing the colors.
I hope this is inspirational to you, and gives you some ideas on how to share a beautiful handmade card this season! Happy Holidays to you all!
