Pop of Color Miss You Card
The new A2 Background Strips Dies from LDRS Creative are the quickest and easiest way to add a pop of color to a simple card!
I can't get over how easy it is to use the new Background Strip Dies! I feel like I'm using them on every card and they always look unique! As much as I love using them to create full backgrounds I decided to use the A2 Background Strip Dies to create a focal point near the top of my card. I die cut multiple colors of scrap pieces of cardstock using the 1/8" A2 Background Strip Dies, 1/4" A2 Background Strip Dies, and the 1/2" A2 Background Strip Dies. The FABULOUS thing about these dies is that each die cuts multiple strips of cardstock! I added them to a strip of white cardstock in a diagonal pattern alternating the colors as I went. I used white strips at the top and bottom of my panel to add a finishing edge.
I grabbed the Scenic Backgrounds II Stamp Set and used Raven Hybrid Ink to stamp the row of houses over my paper strip panel. It's subtle, but adds a nice touch to set the background scene. I stamped and colored the giraffe from the Friends Around the World Stamp Set and cut him out using the Friends Around the World Die Set. And now ... Assemble! I added my background strip panel with foam tape and popped up my giraffe for extra dimension.
I finished the card by using Raven Hybrid Ink to stamp a sentiment from the You Mean the World to Me Stamp Set under the background panel. And that's it! Thanks for joining me!
