Sea Shell Story
Hi all, Kirstynn here to share another fun card.
If you haven't had a chance to check out the newest Beach Days Collection, you can find it here.
Today I'm sharing a card using some of the smaller stamps from a few of the following sets:
To start, I used the Rectangle Spotlight Stencil to blend a teal square on an A2 panel. I used a lighter teal ink toward the top, and a darker teal toward the bottom. This stencil is great because it allows you to align the panel using the etched gridlines (shown below) to get the square perfectly centered.
Once I got this blended how I wanted it, I lightly splashed some water onto the square and used a clean rag to gently dab it off.
I then used the starfish and see shells from the Lighthouse set and stamped them in black ink. I used some water based markers to color them in a light orange and light pink colors. I used the coordinating dies to cut out the shells and the starfish and adhered them to the bottom left corner of the blended square.
I also used the bubbles from the Sea Shack set and stamped them coming up from the shells in black ink.
Next, I created my sentiment using the Coral Reef set. I stamped that in black ink on white cardstock and cut it out using the coordinating dies. I adhered this onto the upper right side of the blended rectangle using foam tape.
I then cut down the panel by 1/4" on each side. I matted this panel onto a the dark teal cardstock and then glued that whole panel onto an A2 side folding cardstock.
Lastly, I used some small blue gems and glued them around the bubbles.
I hope this was inspiring to you to get into your craft space and be creative.
Happy crafting!
-Kirstynn
