Seaside Beachy Scene
Hi, there! It's Lynnea Hollendonner! Are you ready to give up summer? If not here's one more beachy scene card - and it doesn't get any easier than this! Just a few stamps and some Seaside 6x6 Patterned Paper is all you need!
I love when patterned papers make it hard for me to cut them down! They're just so cute and so amazing that you want to use the whole thing! I loved this cute little beach scene from the Seaside 6x6 Patterned Papers and I was just going to lose too much of it if I cut it to be an A2 size. If I made a portrait layout I would keep the sky and water, but lose a good portion of the sandy beach. If I made a landscape layout I would keep the sand, but lose almost the entire sky or the entire water. Neither were good options. So i went for a 5.5 x 5.5 inch square card! The best of both worlds!
I combined images from two cute stamps sets from LDRS Creative to build the scene. The girl in the boat is from the Float Your Boat Stamp Set and the girl on the beach is from the A Day in the Park Stamp Set. I love combining products! A Day in the Park isn't even a beachy stamp set, but she looks absolutely perfect! I stamped the images with Raven Hybrid Ink and colored them with alcohol markers. I even used a black pen to add some polka dots to the green dress for a bit of extra fun! Then I used the coordinating Float Your Boat and A Day in the Park Dies to cut out the images and added them to the scene with foam tape.
I used Raven Hybrid Ink to stamp a sentiment from the Float Your Boat Stamp Set directly onto the patterned paper background and that's it!
