Spotlighting with Delicate Stems

Hey there, Sam here. White space does an amazing job of making an image pop off the card. You also don’t always need to showcase the entire image. I framed a portion of the new Delicate Stems Impress-ion Press + Foil Plates and Delicate Stems Stencils to create a visual spotlight and showcase this beautiful floral.

Get the look:

  • Take the remaining light blie ink on your blending brush and lightly brush over the floral.
  • Using either your better press or foil system, print or foil ‘Thinking of You’ from Arches Thank You Impress-ion Press + Foil Plates on to card stock. Die cut.
  • Cut cream card stock to 5 1/2”x 5 1/2”. Cut a central circle that is close in size to the larger Delicate Stitches Scalloped Circle Dies. On a second piece of cream die cut the large scalloped circle die. Glue scalloped circle to the circle opening.
  • Line up and die cut a slightly larger circle die into white cardstock that is 5 1/4” x 5 1/4”. (This creates the cream border)
  • Line up the white panel over the cream panel and glue together. Using foam tape adhere the opening panel over the delicate stem floral.
  • Finally add the sentiment.
Hope you ‘enjoy’ed . Happy papercrafting : )
