Unlock the Magic: Effortless Ink Blending and Stamping with a Stencil Mask

Hi there, Sam here today. The new Daybreak Collection expands on the Nested Postage Collage Dies with additional postage dies and stamps. I especially love the Postage Collage Mask Stencil because it enables you to dig through your stash and use any small stamps without worrying about masking the white space around the Postage Collage Die.

If you wish to recreate the card I made, you will need the following products, otherwise dig through your stash to see what small stamps you can find. Products used: Postage Collage Mask Stencil, Postage Collage Die, Timeless Wildflowers Stamp, Texturize It and Texturize It II, Floral Silhouette Stamp, LDRS Hybrid Inks in Pink Tutu, Lipstick Jungle, Peachy Keen and Boysenberry Blast.

Die cut out the Postage Collage Die.

Pick out what colours you would like to use from the huge collection of LDRS Hybrid Inks. I choose Pink Tutu, Lipstick Jungle, Peachy Keen and Boysenberry Blast.

Align the Postage Collage Mask Stencil over the postage collage frame and attach with low tack tape or place on a sticky mat. Start with a light hand ink blending from top to bottom the darkess to lightness ink colour. You can always add more but cannot take ink away.

Tip: Get a smooth colour transition overlap your ink colours.

Tip: Stretch your colours by creating light ink colour and dark ink colour depending on how heavily you ink blend.

Wipe the excess ink off the collage mask.

Pick out the florals that you like from Timeless Wildflowers Stamp and Floral Silhouette Stamp.

A stamp positioner is useful to have because you can stamp lots of stamps at once. Although it can be done without; will just take little longer to stamp, stamps individually.

With collage mask still in place, layout and stamp the florals onto the panels. Because of mask thickness you may need to give an extra push near the mask edges. Add some additional texture with Texturize It and Texturize It II stamp sets.

Die cut the Celebrate from the Elegant sentiment set.

Assemble Card: Adhere postage collage to an Kraft A2 cardbase, along with the sentiment.

Hope you ‘enjoy’ed . Happy papercrafting : )
