Spring Ephemera Circle Card
My favorite size card is a standard A2 card ... but it's great to step out of your comfort zone, right?! Even just a simple circle is something unexpected and fun! And can you believe this card took just minutes to make? The LDRS Creative One Fine Day Ephemera Pieces do all the work for me!
I have been obsessed from the moment I opened up the One Fine Day Ephemera Pieces! They're GORGEOUS! The three circle pieces I used on my shaped card were together in the pack, but they can be separated and used as frames! I saw the scalloped piece with the strawberries and knew I wanted to use that as the border for my card.
I wanted to hide a card base behind the scalloped piece so that the detailed edge was what you saw when you opened the envelope, so I had to create a circle shaped card. I used a die from the Scalloped Circle Frames Die Set and cut two circles. I scored one of them about 3/4" from the top and adhered the two circles together. Now I have a shaped card! I added the scalloped frame as well as the sentiment frame to the base with liquid adhesive and then popped up the center floral piece for dimension.
I wanted something cute and simple for the front of my card, so I stamped out a boy and girl from the Live Garden Pocket Pals Stamp Set with Raven Hybrid Ink and colored them with alcohol markers. I die cut them with the Live Garden Pocket Pals Coordinating Dies to get that perfect white border. For a touch of something special I cut the Picket Fence Pocket Die from white cardstock and trimmed it so that it would fit across my center circle and added the pieces to the card.
That's it! Quick, simple, and perfect for spring! See you again soon!
