TIME TO SHOP -6x8 Album | Nathalie DeSousa
Posted on September 23 2022
Hello Crafty Friends!
Nathalie with you today to share a bit of inspiration featuring the new Mackenna Christmas collection and Diamond Leaf Stencil. Every year, I create a December Documented album, but I never finish the album until -hopefully- the next year. I actually love December, so it is always fun to have those memories to document later. Let's take a look at a what I have created:
II started the spread by creating the background for the photo page. The new Diamond Leaf 6x6 - 2 Pack creates such a soft and delicate background. I used Lipstick Jungle Hybrid Ink, and Pistachios-A-Plenty Hybrid Ink to create the patterned on the paper.
While the ink set, I used a pair of scissors to fussy cut a few of the beautiful Poinsettias from the Mackenna Christmas 12x12 Paper Pack.
I had a second photo for the spread; so, I decided to create a small pocket behind the large photo to hide the picture. I created the tag from a another patterned paper. I used the Stitched Decorative Label Dies to create the label, then just hid it behind the large picture.
I added the fussy cut flowers around the picture, and behind the tag so that they frame the photo. I used the Sophie Numeric Dies to create the date for the spread.
To balance the spread, I used more of the fussy cut Poinsettias and patterned paper to create a cluster on the top left corner of the spread. I am using the new Mackenna Christmas Large Alpha Puffy Stickers to create the title of the spread.
To finish the spread, I added a few pieces from the One Fine Die Ephemera package, and sprinkled a few Mackenna Christmas Enamel Dots throughout the page. I hope that you have checked all the new releases, and share with us what you are creating with them!

In addition, I used the same technique and inks to create a small diamond stenciled edge at the other side of the spread.
