Tips for Creating Depth with Embossing Folders and Stencils

To truly maximize depth of the embossed image, make sure to do all you die cutting first. If you die cut second, it will flatten your embossed image.
  • Die cut the Stitched Scallop Arch out of thick card stock.
  • Emboss: Using the Magnolia 6x6 embossing folder, position the card stock arch shape over the area of the magnolia cluster you like, tape in place. Run thru die cut machine using the appropriate embossing plates.
    • Tip: Emboss before stenciling. This creates raised sections and lower sections which naturally take less or more of the ink when you ink blend over the stencils.
Hope you ‘enjoy’ed . Happy papercrafting : )
