Trick or Treat Slimline

Hello, Kirstynn here! Welcome to the LDRS creative inspiration page!
Happy Trick-or-Treating! I'm excited to be here with you all today to share this Trick Or Treat Slimline Shaker card I created for Halloween.
This was such a fun card to make. I stacked lots of layers together to create lots of dimensional interest. To make all of these layers I used the Diagonal Stitched Postage Frames. The largest die in this set is great because it only has a cutting edge on three sides. So, when you align it with a pre scored and folded piece of cardstock, it will make your card base for you. This makes slimline card bases so easy to make.
I lined up two of the smaller dies and taped them together to form the window piece that I used for the shaker frame. I taped these dies together and cut out multiple frame like pieces.
Once I had all of my layers cut, I did some simple ink blending using the LDRS Hybrid ink pads in the colors "In Your Face Orange", and "Alloy". I then used the cute little candy corn die from the Trick or Treat Pirouette Stamp Set.  I stamped a small cluster of these in the color Dan-D-Lion onto white cardstock. I cut them out and mixed them with some orange and black sequins to make some darling shaker bits.
I used a trick or treat sentiment from the Halloween Gift Tag Stack Set and stamped it onto a small panel I made using the same Diagonal Stitched Postage Frames set. I tucked it behind a small door for another interactive element.
I stamped some spider webs onto the front of that little door and also on the background of the shaker window to add a little extra detail.
This card was so much fun to make. I really enjoy the slimline die sets because there are so many possibilities to add layers and dimension to a card.
I hope you enjoyed crafting with me today.
Wishing you all a safe and Happy Halloween!
