Monochromatic Underwater Themed ATCs

Hello everyone, Lounon here !

Today, I’m sharing a set of four underwater-themed ATCs (Artist Trading Cards) with you. If you're not familiar with ATCs, they’re small cards (2.5" x 3.5" / 6.3 cm x 8.9 cm) that artists and crafters make to share, gift, or collect. If you’ve never made them before, give it a try, you’ll be hooked!

I used various products from the LDRS Beach Days collection :

The Sea Shack 4x6 Stamps

Lighthouse 4x6 Stamps

Coral Reef 4x6 Stamps and Dies

Scored Arched Rectangle Dies

No coloring or stenciling here, these ATCs are all about stamping and easy watercoloring!

First, I cut four 3.25" x 2.25" (8.3 cm x 5.7 cm) rectangles onto light blue cardstock.

After that, I put liquid watercolor on my glass mat and spritzed water onto it. Then, I dabbed my rectangles onto the mat to create a lovely watercolor effect.

Once my panels were dry, I stamped my Sea Shack Stamps, Lighthouse Stamps and Coral Reef Stamps sets on my rectangles with dark blue ink.

Now, for the next step, it’s completely optional! I wanted to add a little bit of texture, so I thought I’d use one of my Scored Arched Rectangle Dies on my panels to get some embossed stripes. As you can see, with the vertical one, I got pretty clean stripes, but with the horizontal one, I ended up with a lot of smaller pieces. So, it’s up to you to decide if it’s worth the time!

After that, I cut four 3.25" x 2.25" (8.3 cm x 5.7 cm) and four 2.5" x 3.5" (6.3 cm x 8.9 cm) rectangles from dark teal cardstock. If you skipped the die-cutting part, you don’t need the four smaller rectangles.

If you used your die, glue your pieces onto the 3.25" x 2.25" (8.3 cm x 5.7 cm) panels.

In both cases, mat and layer your panel with your darker rectangles.

Et voilà!

May the craft be with you!
