Valentine Postage Collage

Hello and welcome back to the inspiration blog.  Today I am making some fun Valentine inspired cards with a few items from the new All Occasions Collection.  I'm using the Nested Postage Collage Die set along with the Hugs & Kisses Postage Collage Stamp Set and the Hugs & Kisses Postage Collage Stencil Set.  This new postage collage die set has different stencil and stamp sets that coordinate with it for different occasions.  It is going to be so fun to play with.  It also has individual dies to cut out the individual stamps if you choose to!
I'm making an A2 sized card on white card stock and started by die cutting the card base with the postage collage die.  The stencil set comes with 3 layers that are numbered to make it easy to know where to start.
I used smaller stencil brushes and didn't need to mask off the other areas.  I had no issues with color bleeding at all.  I used the following inks in blending this card:  Little Boy Blue, Prickly Pear, Iced Tea, Kiss Me Red, Soft Kisses, Mrs. Periwinkle, Scarlet Rose, Raven, Alloy, and Coffee Bean.
Stencil number one is complete.  Proceed through the next two to complete the color blending.
It's generally a good idea to start with your lightest colors with the first stencils and work darker as you go.
I added a little sparkle with glimmer pens and some white accents as well, then added the stamping in Raven ink.  The stamp set is just adorable!
To finish off the card, I die cut a layer using the postage stamp die in red card stock and mounted both layers on a white, A2, top folding card base.  I think this postage collage collection will continue to be a fun set to play with and can't wait to see what other's create with it!
Crafty hugs, LeeAnn
