Versatile Valentine's Day Impress-ion Dies
Love is in the air or at least, right around the corner!
Kathy here and I would like to share with you a simple and elegant Valentine's Card that you could give to family or friends!
I am loving the multiple ways to use LDRS Creative Impress-ion Dies. I would like to share a few of these uses with you today!
For today's card I am using the following LDRS new products.
I am also using the Spellbinder's LetterPress Bundle available in the LDRS shop at a great price.
To start the card I cut and scored a top folding A2 card base. I then cut a piece of red card stock to match the red ink, Kiss Me Red I will use for the cupid focal point. I cut this panel to 4".25" x 5.5".
I adhered the red panel to my card base using liquid glue. I also cut a piece of the LDRS Water Color Paper to 3.75" x 5".
I used a small scrap of the water color paper and the Cupid's Arrow die. I placed the die onto the BetterPress Plate. I taped the small piece of water color paper to the top plate, inked up the die with Kiss Me Red Hybrid Ink and ran it through my Platinum 6 die-cutting machine. I then cut it out with the coordinating die.
Next, I hot foiled the Flourish in the center of the 3.75" x 5" panel of water color paper we cut. I used the Glimmer hot foil system from Spellbinders and a piece of gold hotfoil. I then used one of the sentiments from the Love & Friendship Impress-ion Sentiments set. I placed it onto the BetterPress plate to be slightly under the foiled Flourish. Then I inked it with Kiss Me Red ink and ran it through my die-cutting machine.
I attached the Cupid die-cut to this panel using a wobbler. I can't tell you how fun it is to see this little guy wiggle! Then I attached the entire panel in the center of the red panel.
This card was very easy to make. As you ca see the Impress-ion dies are so versatile. you can use them as a stamp and to hot foil. I have also used them on plain white card stock to create a simple embossed look. I am in love with these items and promise you to share more of these creations in the future.
