Vintage Monochromatic Map-Like Card with 3D Embellishment

Hello everyone ! Lounon here !

Today, I will show you how to create this cool monochromatic map-like card with its own 3D embellishment.

Products used :

First, I die cut my 3 7/8" x 5" (9.9 cm x 12.7 cm) from the Hand Torn Rectangle Dies onto light brown cardstock. I stamped various images from the Tracks & Treads II 4x4 Stamps and the sentiment from the No Matter the Distance Pocket Pals 4x6 Stamp Set on it with a brown inkpad.

I cut my rectangle three more times onto thick cardstock (I used oat boxes). I kept them aside.

Then, I used the smallest die from the Hand Torn Rectangle Dies onto brown cardstock.

I inked the borders of my two rectangles with brown water-reactive inks. Then, I splattered the same ink on them with a brush and some water. I also added a small metallic accent by splattering copper watercolor inks on them.

I'm into adding cute details like bows or rosettes, but for this card, I wanted to stick to a vintage style. So, I created a tiny parchment using my smallest rectangle, rolled it up, and tied it shut with some twine.

I glued my parchment on my panel with to small pieces of foam pads.

I stacked the three thick rectangles and glued them behind my stamped panel to give more depth. You can use foam pads instead.

Finally, I cut a 4 1/4" x 5 1/2" (10.8cm x 14cm) stitched rectangle from the A2 Diagonal Stitched Rectangle Layered Card Toppers Die Set onto dark brown cardstock and I glued my main panel on it.

Et voilà !

May the craft be with you !
