Warmest Wishes!

Hi guys, It's Jen and I'm back with more inspiration using some of the products from the latest release from LDRS creative. I realised that I've never made a shaped card for the blog so this month I've done just! I decided to incorprate one of my all time favorite stamps sets, the Christmas Tree Shopping 4x6 Stamps – LDRS Creative. I mean how cute are the critters in this set right!
I made this shaped card by firstly die cutting 2 of the largest stitched scalloped ovals from the Delicate Stitches Scalloped Oval Dies – LDRS Creative out of heavy weight white cardstock. I scored one of these at 3/4 of an inch from the top to act as a hinge for the card. Liquid glue was used to adhere the second panel to create a card base, being careful to apply the glue to the hinge portion only.
See below for pictures demonstrating this.
Next I cut another large scalloped oval from a soft pink cardstock and set it aside. The patterned background was stenciled using the Gingham Check 6x6 Stencil - 2 Pack – LDRS Creative onto a white 6x6 panel using Soft Kisses – LDRS Creative hybrid ink. Once dry I die cut it with the second largest die from the Delicate Stitches Scalloped Oval Dies – LDRS Creative along with another in white but used the border only. The stencilled panel was layered behind the white scalloped border then matted onto the pink scalloped panel.
I stamped the one of the cute images from Christmas Tree Shopping 4x6 Stamps – LDRS Creative, in Raven – LDRS Creative hybrid ink, then coloured it with alcohol markers and die cut using the coordinating die set, Christmas Tree Shopping Coordinating Dies – LDRS Creative. The sentiment "Warmest Wishes" from Elegant Sentiment Word Dies – LDRS Creative was cut 3 times, one in silver mirror card then twice from white card and glued together for dimension.

I placed the sentiment in the upper right of the card panel and popped up the adorable bear image with foam tape and added as the main focus. Finally the panel was added to the card base and finished off with 5 iridescent snowflakes to add just a little bit of sparkle!
And there you have it, a pretty little shaped holiday card!
Happy crafting everyone and I'll catch you all again next month x
