Winter Wonderland

Hello all, Kirstynn here with a fun shaker card to share with you.

If you all haven't had a chance to see the new release, you can see the whole thing here.  Can you believe that it's already time for Christmas cards? Where did this year go? Today I'm going to be showing you how I made this darling forest wonderland card.

It was pretty quick to make, I used the Through the Trees stamp and stencil set. I stamped them in random little clusters on a white 5 1/2 by 4 /14 note card.

I used the coordinating stencil set to add some color to each of the trees. I used some sticky notes to mask the trees that I didn't want.

I also stamped a couple on some scrap white cardstock and added them on with some foam tape to add a little dimension under the shaker window.

Once I had my panel all stamped and ready, it was time to prepare the shaker window. To create the frame I used the Delicate Stitched Scalloped Rectangle die set. I find myself reaching for this set all the time to do shakers and add some detail to a simple card frame.

I cut out the scalloped rectangle with some silver cardstock and glued an acetate panel on the back. I used some foam tape around the edge of the window to create the space for the shaker bits. Before I took off the release paper on the foam tape, I lightly dusted the inside of the window with some anti-static powder. This will help reduce the static and extra sticky areas of the foam tape so that all the shaker elements shake really well. I was lucky and found some cute snowflake sequins in my stash, but you could use any sequins you may have.

I really love making shaker cards, and I hope you can find some inspiration.

Happy Crafting all!

-Kirstynn
