After a long wait (worth every second), my beautiful, sturdy craft mat arrived. I couldn’t believe that even the box is beautiful! After replacing the mat I had been using, I couldn’t wait to get inky. Blending on the mat was so smooth. The beautiful white background is just begging to be written on. The magnetic backing is so convenient.
I purchased this item as an indulgence. I now know that it is going to be a beautiful workhorse in my craft room for years to come.

I saw the picture, and it doesn't do the beautiful Magnetic mat justice. It is so beautiful and I love that it's white. I have been using a BLACK mat (same size) but it's pretty dreary. White is a breath of fresh air, and the floral design around the perimeter makes it all the more beautiful. I love that it cleans up quickly with a baby wipe. A large mat keeps you from storing anything on it. So you have a huge area with which to work on. I had a windfall of money the same day I was made aware of this mat. I didn't have to think - I ordered it immediately - along with a few dies.

This mat is SO beautiful! And just the right size for my work desk. A bit costly, but well worth it.

I was ready to replace my self healing mat with a glass mat and this one came highly recommended. I understood the issue with the magnets, but for my creating purposes, that wasn't a deal breaker. I ordered it, got it the next day! and love, love, love it! It cleans up so nicely and I love the measuring grids. Also, I find that I'm cleaning up my workspace more because it looks so pretty!! Would definitely recommend.

The mat itself is wonderful. Large, easy to read grid markings, and beautiful on my work table. However, all of the magnetic items are not strong enough to be functional.
To be fair, magnetic rulers from other manufacturers, and other magnetic pegs I've tried are also not strong enough. The only magnets in my stash that are strong enough to be useful on the mat are the round, felted ones (neodymium) that come with the Ranger/Wendy Vecchi Make Art mat or the magnetic bars that come with the MISTI.
I've contacted LDRS customer service and they have told me that I am the only person to make this observation.
I love the mat, just be prepared to spend additional money for magnetic tools if you don't already have some in your possession.
