BOO!
Hello all you Halloween lovers, Kathy here and Halloween is right around the corner. The new release from LDRS Creative is perfect for the occasion. The Pirouette Pattern Template is ideal for making some fun and easy backgrounds. Coupling the Pirouette with the new Trick or Treat stamp set makes for the perfect card.
I used the Circles alignment template for these cards. The instructions that come with the set are easy to follow and if you need more visual aides LDRS has provide many tutorials on YouTube. I have linked one here.
I stamped the skulls and spiders using the template. Then I stamped some additional skulls to pop up and add dimension to the card. The card measure 5” x 5”. The card design measure 4” x 4”. I used Raven Hybrid ink for everything except the sentiment. I backed the design with a piece of black card and adhered it to Neenah Classic Crest 110lb card stock.
I then die cut some of the skulls from the Trick or Treat die set.
I added some crystal drops to the eyes and a few googly eyes for fun. A small piece of card stock was cut to back the sentiment and coordinating stripes were loosely done using alcohol markers.
The sentiment was stamped and die cut using the coordinating dies from the Trick or Treat stamps and dies. done with the Raven Hybrid Ink and then embossed with Clear Embossing Powder.
My second card was done in a similar manner. I used more the adorable elements from the Trick or Treat Pirouette stamp set. I also used the Coordinating Die Set . I few of the elements were stamped separately and popped up for dimension. Some googly eyes were added because well, they are FUN!!
I also used a piece of the Trick or Treat 6 x 6 paper pack. This pack is so vibrant and fun and I plan to use much more of it before the month is up.
I didn’t have a cardstock to match the Prickly Pear ink so I simply took my ink pad and ran it along four side. Perfect Match!!
The sentiment is from the same set. It was stamped and embossed as before. I added this to a piece of scrap paper colored with alcohol markers. This was popped up for dimension with
The inks used for this card were
The card design was popped up with 3M Scotch Double Sided Foam Tape. This is by far my favorite foam tape as it is very easy to cut smaller.
In the next few weeks I plan to use more of these products so stay tuned for more fun! As always, keep crafting!
