Owl our Love!

Hi everyone, Jane with you today! Hope you had a happy, fun filled Christmas!

I have a wintry card to share today but if you used different colours (and didn’t give the owls a scarf and hat) it could be for any time of the year!

I used the new release EYELET LACE RECTANGLE DIE SET to cut my background paper which is from the ARCTIC SNOWFALL 6 x 6 PAPER PAD.

I then cut another of the larger dies from white card and cut out the centre with a craft knife (bit wobbly but I hope it doesn’t show) and used foam tape to stick it to my die cut background paper to create a shadow box effect.

From the same white card I cut some of the dies from the BUILD-A-CARD GARDEN ESCAPE set and arranged them into a scene, inking the edges to give them definition. I added a ‘snowdrift’ using the WAVES & CLOUDS die set, cut a few of the branches from the tree to create some festive foliage at the bottom and added star gems for a extra sparkle.

I then stamped the owl couple, hat and scarf from the ARCTIC SNOWFALL set and coloured them with markers.

I added them to my scene along with a sentiment from the same set and stuck it all to another of the ARCTIC SNOWFALL 6 x 6 PAPERS trimmed down to fit an A2 (US)/A6 (UK) card base.

More gems, and a spot of doodling and we’re done!

Have a fantastic New Year everyone!
