Pretty Poppies

Have you checked out the latest release from LDRS Creative yet? If not I highly recommend it! One of my favourite products is the Poppy Posy 4x6 Stamps – LDRS Creative. I love it so much I just had to use it on this months card inspiration.

I began with a US A2 white card panel that I placed into a stamping platform. I positioned the large stamp in the upper left corner and allowed the image to bleed off the edges of the panel. In stamped it in Raven – LDRS Creative then rotated the panel 90 degrees and stamped the image in the opposite corner.

Once the ink had dried I coloured the images with alcohol markers in a muted pink and green colour combo. For some added interest I lightly spattered the panel with some gold watercolour paint and set aside to dry.

 I stamped the sentiment "Many Thanks"  from the set with Watermark Emboss Pad – LDRS Creative onto a coordinating green cardstock. Then sprinkled on gold embossing powder and heat set it with a heat gun. 

The panel was trimmed down to 5 x 3.75 inches and added matted onto a layer of gold mirror cardstock that was then mounted onto an A2 Green cardbase with foam tape.

The sentiment was trimmed with a paper trimmer and added to the card front. As a finishing touch I added a few gold pearls for an extra bit of shine.

I love how it turned out and you will definitely see me using this stamp set again because its simply beautiful!
